In 2014, two former school teachers, Cheryl Rehrig and Denise Hoeksema founded the Inland Bays Garden Center with the mission of "Gardening to Make a Difference." By providing a selection of native and beneficial plants, sharing ideas through education, giving back to our community, and being conscious about our Inland Bays and other watersheds, we hope to offer many opportunities for our customers to experience the joys and importance of gardening.
"Gardening to Make a Difference" is the heart and soul of our garden center: to raise awareness and educate our customers about the importance gardening has in restoring our environment.
We offer the most extensive collection of native plants in Delaware. Our plant inventory includes trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, succulents, tropicals, vegetables, herbs, and annuals. We carefully curate our selection of plants to guarantee the best quality plant material. Our knowledgeable staff can help you choose pollinator-friendly, deer-resistant, drought-tolerant, and rain garden-friendly plants. In addition to plants, we carry containers, tools, potting soil mixes, amendments, pest control, and garden decor.
