Designing for Privacy – Scott Freedman
Discover the many native plants, shrubs, and trees available as alternatives to providing privacy to areas without having to resort to traditional fencing. Topics of discussion will focus on the importance of plant selection to meet your screening goals in conjunction with the unique characteristics of your landscape.
A tour of the nursery will be included and with Scott’s help you can begin to buildyour “green screen.” Participants will receive a 10% discount on plants they purchase the day of class.
Scott has a BS in Urban Forestry from The Pennsylvania State University. His work experience includes working in the tree care industry as an ISA Certified Arborist, construction administrator with a natural resources’ preservation company, manager of a commercial landscape maintenance company, and most recently as the grounds and plant health care specialist at Mt Cuba Center.
