Evergreen Needles and Scales

Did you know some evergreens have scales? And some of course have needles. Come to this chat where we’ll discuss the differences. We’ll go over some of the best evergreens for our area, including how and where to use them. We will also touch on some problems they might have, and include an environmental context, so you’ll know you have the right plant for the spot. From providing winter shelter for wildlife, to shading your house and making a windbreak, evergreens have lots of environmental benefits too, as well as providing wonderful decorations for the home.

Liz Nalle has been involved in different aspects of horticulture all her life, including 6 years as a professional interior plant technician. Her passion now is environmentally friendly, sustainable gardening, but she is happy to talk your ear off on anything plant related just drop by Inland Bays Garden Center and look for her among the native plants.
