Putting Your Garden to Bed with Thoughts of Pollinators

Emily Wine will discuss tips for transforming your garden into a habitat for pollinators in the fall. Habitat includes food, water, and shelter. Sometimes we think about feeding our native pollinators and forget about the importance of seasonal nesting sites! She will also discuss plants you can incorporate into your garden NOW for   spring, summer, and fall blooms.

Emily Wine is the State Apiarist with the Delaware Department of Agriculture. Her interest in bees began as an undergrad at Cornell University, where she joined the Beekeeping Club. She did her master’s degree in Entomology at Washington State University, where she studied habitat for the bees that pollinate alfalfa grown for seed. As State Apiarist, she works to safeguard Delaware’s pollinators.

Participants in this workshop will receive a 10% discount on any plants they purchase the day of the workshop.
