Nature Art Journal Workshop: Monarchs on Milkweed
Come sketch the white milkweed onto a brown craft paper with a white gel pen to depict the elegant beauty of this plant and the monarchs it attracts.
We will learn how to use simple shapes to create this image drawing it freehand in pencil first filling in positive and negative spaces with the gel pens to create the butterfly on the bloom.
Kathy is originally from Cincinnati and transplanted to Maryland over 30 years ago. She has been a summer resident of Ocean View since 2010. She comes from a talented family of entrepreneurs, painters, musicians, builders and architects. She will say she is “Born an artist but also formally trained.” She received her BFA in graphic design from the University of Dayton. ” I love color, design, and drawing. Illustration is my lane for it frees the imagination.
