Building Your Soil: Lasagna Gardening

We are welcoming Karen Wilkens, Sussex County Master Gardener for a talk on Lasagna Gardening. This method Lasagna Gardening is a layering system for creating soil that produces bountiful gardens: no digging, no tilling, less weeding and watering.

Karen will share the techniques for Lasagna Gardening so you can make gardening more sustainable and enjoyable especially in Delaware where our soils are so sandy and nutrient. You’ll learn how to create soil that not only grows plants to eat but supports the food web. So when you do your Spring clean-up don’t throw away those leaves, flower heads, stems or old mulch but save them and learn how to make your very own Lasagna Garden!!!
