In mythology the Phoenix Rises as a symbol of hope and renewal. What better way to celebrate moving forward from these unprecedented times than with the beauty of flowers! In that spirit, Alison Webb AIFD, member of American Institute of Floral Designers will be creating an exhibit to increase awareness of floral design as an art form.

You’re invited to view Alison’s outdoor floral art exhibit from Wednesday, July 21 to Saturday, July 24 (weather permitting). The success of this project through the AIFD Foundation, provides scholarship opportunities to facilitate the advancement of floral design. This installation is part of a National Virtual Exhibition of Floral Art, Phoenix Rising.

Alison Webb AIFD was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) in 1985, while working and living in Baltimore, Maryland.  Her last position was as event designer, planning the florals for weddings and many other events.  Upon retirement from the floral industry she moved to the Maryland/Delaware coast and has transitioned her floral love into plants, particularly natives.  She has worked with Inland Bays Garden Center for 4 years.

Established in 1965, the American Institute of Floral Designers® (AIFD®) is, today, the floral industry’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to establishing, maintaining and recognizing the highest standard of professional floral design. AIFD® and its worldwide accredited members are in the forefront of the industry, presenting educational programs and designing for such renowned events as the Tournament of Roses Parade, the Academy Awards and Presidential Inaugurations.
